September Newsletter
Topic of the month
This month our topic is ‘our bodies’, this is broken down into four weeks
- What do I look like?
- Our senses
- Special people
- Things I like
The children will be doing a variety of different activities in their rooms throughout the month to support the children’s learning and development of this subject.
Weather
The weather is now cooling down and Autumn is approaching, we kindly ask for parents to provide children with appropriate clothing to play outdoors such as a rain coat and wellington boots. We have a duty to ensure children play outdoors everyday as it is a key element of their health, learning and development.
Clothing
We would like to remind parents to please label your child’s clothing. This helps to ensure that clothing does not go missing or taken home by another parent. We would also request for parents to provide sufficient amount of spare clothing for your child on a daily basis as children participate in a variety of messy/creative activities both in and outdoors.
Jeans for genes
On Friday 22nd September we will be fundraising for “jeans for genes day”. We would like for everyone to join in with us by wearing a pair of jeans and to contribute a small donation of £1 to contribute to this charity. If you would like any further information in regards to the charity, please click on the link bellow:
Spare clothes
If anyone has any children’s clothes that they no longer require we would greatly appreciate all donations.
Polite reminders:
Toys from home
We kindly ask parents to avoid bringing toys from home as this causes upset amongst the children within the room. Furthermore, the nursery does not take responsibility for damage or loss for the toys children bring from home.
Testimonials
We kindly ask parents to send us testimonials giving feedback on the nursery and your child’s room. if you could kindly email them to monkeypuzzlecatford@hotmail.com this would be greatly appreciated.
